In July, NASA's New Horizons spacecraft sent the first close-up images of the dwarf planet Pluto, the largest body in a region of icy worlds known as the Kuiper belt beyond the inner planets, where Earth is, and the outer planets.
We talk with Planetary Scientist Cathy Olkin, a project scientist with the New Horizons project. She'll talk about how the spacecraft got to Pluto, the initial discoveries, and the drive to find out about the universe we live in.

October 22 - 24 will draw a sharp dividing line in society, posing the question for all
Which side are you on?
We'll talk with Carl Dix, representative of the Revolutionary Communist Party and co-founder of the Stop Mass Incarceration Network about the police counter-offensive and why #RiseUpOctober HAS to happen.

#RiseUpOctober, October 22 - 24, is a massive mobilization of thousands and thousands in New York to end police terror and murder. October 24 will be a day when people from inside New York and from all over the country flood the streets of New York City - a river of opposition to the horrors inflicted on people.
Over 800 people have been killed by US police since January 1, a rate of over 1000 victims a year. Many people have refused to accept this and are fighting against it. There have been rebellions and resistance on a scale we haven't seen in years. Just recently, the system has struck back, portraying murderous cops as innocent victims, and calling on the "silent majority" to come out and oppose those calling for an end to police terror.
