Teachers in the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second-largest school district in the US, went on strike Monday, January 14. They're fighting for the welfare of a generation of students, for better wages and working conditions, and for the future of public education. We'll be talking with Glenn Sacks, a social studies teacher and United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) Co-chair at Monroe High School in Los Angeles.

Carl Dix on the death of Nicholas Heyward Sr. He recently wrote, "With the passing of Nicholas Heyward Sr., everybody who yearns to see an end to the terror police enforce on Black people, Latino people, and others have lost a determined fighter. And I have lost a good friend." Carl Dix is a representative of the Revolutionary Communist Party.
