Climate Change Disruptions

The Melting Antarctic

The Melting Antarctic

Journalist Dahr Jamail recently wrote that 11 of the past 12 months have set record temperature increases compared to pre-industrial levels. He'll talk about the scope and consequences of unchecked climate change: rising sea levels, declining food sources in the oceans and on land, superstorms, wildfires and other catastrophes that are already beginning a wave of mass extinction.

Dahr Jamail writes Climate Disruption Dispatches for Truth Out. He's the author of The Will to Resist: Soldiers Who Refuse to Fight in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Beyond the Green Zone: Dispatches From an Unembedded Journalist in Occupied Iraq.

James Cavallaro, the founding director of Stanford Law School's International Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Clinic, discusses the truth about US drone warfare against the people of Pakistan - especially under the Obama regime - and the report he co-authored with the Global Justice Clinic at NYU School of Law titled "Living Under Drones."
