Sunsara Taylor, writer for revcom.us/ Revolution newspaper, and co-initiator of RefuseFascism.org, joins us to talk about plans for nationwide protests July 15. Refuse Fascism wrote, "IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY: THE TRUMP AND PENCE REGIME MUST GO!  Only the people acting together in the streets and public square can force this demand before the world.  Should we fail to do so, the future and values we aspire to could be brutally cut short by the actions of the Trump/Pence Regime."

Accelerating Greenland Ice Melt and Global Sea Level Rise, with Josh Willis

Greenland Ice Sheet melting

Greenland Ice Sheet melting

Oceanographer and climatologist Josh Willis, Principal Investigator for Oceans Melting Greenland (OMG), a project of NASA JPL, will be talking about the dramatic news about the melting of Greenland and its contribution to sea level rise.

Seas are rising. And the rate of sea level rise is increasing. The chief cause of this acceleration was the melting of the Greenland ice sheet, which went from contributing under 5 percent of all sea level rise in 1993 to contributing over 25 percent in 2014. This impacts the entire planet.

Marjorie Cohn on the Supreme Court and

the Muslim Ban

Marjorie Cohn Professor Emerita at Thomas Jefferson School of Law and former president of the National Lawyers Guild, will talk about this week's Supreme Court decision that allowed parts of Trump's Muslim ban to go into effect. Trump can now exclude people from other countries who lack a relationship with a person or entity, such as a school, in the United States. The newest justice, Neil Gorsuch, joined Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito in saying they would have upheld the exclusion of everyone covered by Trump’s ban without limitation.
