El Niño and its Global Impact

Scientists have predicted that one of the strongest occurrences ever recorded of the weather phenomenon known as El Niño will impact global weather this winter. While many in California are hopeful that the weather system will bring needed rain to the area, its effects in other areas of the globe can produce drought and famine.

We'll speak with Joshua Willis, Oceanographer with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, about the current forecast for El Niño, and its global impact.


The Outrage in San Bernardino and Bringing Forward Another Way

The murders of 14 people at a holiday social event for environmental health inspectors in San Bernardino, California, and the injuries to 21 more, are a terrible outrage. At the same time, the powers that be and their politicians and media have seized on this terrible incident to enlist people behind an agenda that will escalate the cycle of death and terror in the world.

We'll talk with Larry Everest, writer for Revolution newspaper/Revcom.us, about what the problem is, and what we should be doing about it -- and why we should definitely not be rooting for our own rulers.
