Dawn Porter, Director of Trapped: A New Documentary on the Fight for Abortion Rights

U.S. abortion clinics are fighting to remain open. Since 2010, 288 TRAP (Targeted Regulation  of Abortion Providers) laws have been passed by state legislatures. The result has been the closure of over 150 clinics, restricting the right to abortion for tens of millions of women.

We'll hear an interview with Dawn Porter, Director of Trapped, a documentary that follows the struggles of clinic workers and lawyers on the front lines of a battle to keep abortion safe and legal for millions of women in the US. Its release in theaters comes on the eve of Supreme Court arguments on Texas TRAP laws.

The film was awarded the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Social Impact Filmmaking at Sundance this year.
