On Friday November 27, a gunman launched an armed attack against the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado, killing three people. This heinous attack marks a serious escalation of the war against women AND a serious escalation in the overall attacks on the people. This must be met with determined, unyielding struggle.

Sunsara Taylor, writer for Revolution newspaper, Revcom.us, wrote , “Everyone who cares about women's rights and lives needs to stand up against what seems to be emerging as the vicious violent assault on the Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs.”

People took to the streets that day and the following day in emergency actions. We'll talk with Sunsara about the continuing reign of terror against abortion providers, and fighting to break the chains of women's oppression.

Journalist, author, filmmaker and human rights activist Jen Marlowe recently wrote an article, “In Gaza, medical permits linked to intelligence gathering,” the result of an investigation into how Palestinians in Gaza who need medical care in East Jerusalem or other areas outside Gaza must first be cleared by Israeli intelligence. The Israeli intelligence service uses their sometimes-urgent need for medical care to attempt to coerce them into becoming informers and collaborators with the Israeli occupation.

We'll speak with one of those responsible for the open letter, Lawrence Torcello, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the Rochester Institute of Technology specializing in social and political philosophy, moral theory, and applied ethics.
