Carl Dix speaking in Chicago

Carl Dix, Representative of the Revolutionary Communist Party, will join us to talk about Revolution Summer in Chicago. The Revolution Club has declared, "This summer Chicago will become known for revolution, not for people killing each other while Trump the Amerikkkan Hitler moves ahead with a genocidal program targeting Black and Brown people. This summer Chicago will become known for people changing what they are living, fighting, and dying for, taking up the cause of human emancipation and getting organized now to overthrow this system at the soonest possible time."

George Ciccariello-Maher: Resisting the Fascist Attacks on Academics

George Ciccariello-Maher is a writer, radical political theorist, and currently Associate Professor of Politics and Global Studies at Drexel University in Philadelphia.  Since shortly after the election of Donald Trump, he has been the target of fascists online for tweets opposing white supremacy and the atrocities of the US military. In April, Drexel University outrageously began an investigation of his tweets. Prof. Ciccariello-Maher has refused to back down. But his case is only one of many in which academics have been the subject of targeted harassment by fascists.
